Still remember spending the night in Flagstaff, then driving south to...
Phoenix, then west through Yuma on my way to San Diego. It was a cool, beautiful morning in Flagstaff, then it started getting hot as I drove south. I thought Phoenix was hot, but when I was driving through Yuma, the temperature gauge on my car started going up towards the overheating range. I turned off the AC, and the temp dropped back to normal. After several cycles, I decided that I would just roll down the windows and let the wind cool me down. Yeah, that didn't work...lol It felt like I was in a blast furnace. I decided to roll my windows back up, turn on the AC, and hope my car made it to the mountains. Once I started climbing up in elevation, I noticed the temperature gauge starting to come back to normal.
Lesson: never drive through southern Arizona on summer days...lol
